Legionary fortress and civil settlement

The Roman remains are preserved under the city center of Belgrade and building structures are visible in several places in the center under the medieval and later ramparts and in the basement hall of the Belgrade city Library (The Roman Hall). The legionary fortress is located under the modern Kalemegdan Park and under the later Turkish/Austrian fort (Upper Kalemegdan).
