Visegrád
Sibrik-domb Late Roman fort
The fort was already known of in the time of Flóris Rómer (1815-1889). So far four of the
fort’s interior buildings have been excavated in the 1970s and during the course of road
construction the remains of the defensive earthworks to the northeast were discovered. The whole lay-out can be studied and most of the curtain walls and the excavated building structures are preserved and still visible.
