Paks-Lussonium
Auxiliary fort
The archaeological park of Paks-Lussonium is situated at a short distance from the town of Paks on a steep, narrow hill overlooking the floodplains of the river Danube. The whole fort area is preserved as grass land with a few buildings reconstructed, such as the north and the south gate and some living quarters at the southern part. During the next years the plans are to further develop the archaeological park and the local museum in Paks as a central information point for the southern Hungarian Limes sector.
