The WP focusses on the preparation of UNESCO nomination documents for the expansion of the existing multinational World Heritage Site „Frontiers oft he Roman Empire“ in the Lower Danube area. Partners in Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania search and classify their Limes sites, define their relevant national/regional sections and key-issues of the future protection and management. Those partners will prepare documentation for their national UNESCO Tentative Lists and select 1-2 sites as sample areas, where core and buffer zones of the prospective UNESCO nomination will be prepared and discussed with local and national stakeholders. All partners will use the experiences and lessons learnt during the CE project „Danube Limes – UNESCO World Heritage“ 2008-2011.
